Tattoo Thursday!

Has it been a week already? Time flies when you're....uh....doing stuff. I am gathering inspiration for my next tattoo. I think it will be the one that starts my half sleeve. So many ideas! I will definitely have to recruit help to combine these ideas effortlessly into one tattoo. Here are some tattoos I am loving this week.

This week, so far, has been a ball! Tons of orders completed and some others yet to go. I think we will take a trip into Fort Worth this weekend. I have been stuck in the house and there is not much inspiration at home. Maybe a little thrifting or some park walking. Well I am off to finish some orders and watch Demon Knight.

5 Things Wednesday

I love the idea of a wish tree at a wedding or really any type of party.

I also love the idea of painting this in the entry of my home!

Country Living shows you how to make super simple Petits Fours.

I'm so excited this week. I have been working on some secret not so secret projects (darn you instagram). I can't wait to get these things listed on Etsy. Also, I found some old sketchbooks and they have some great fabric designs I did when I was like 12! Spoonflower here I come.
Other than work life has been pretty boring. I am hoping to get out this week to do some nature walking and some thrifting. I need major inspiration. What are you doing this week?

Lyric Vase DIY

Lyric Vase DIY

On my most recent trip to Ikea I picked up 3 of these cute (cheap! $0.99!) white flower vases. Knowing I could use them but not entirely sold on the all white look. This last week i decided to take myself a sharpie and some of my favorite lyrics and fix that problem. If you are concerned about your handwriting or that you may screw up a word or two I suggest doing this in pencil first and then going back over it. Me? I just went for it.

The best part about this little project is that it is totally customizeable. You could do lyrics, quotes, a note to the person who receives this gift, a stencil or other image, the possibilities are endless. I plan on doing more DIYs with the other two.

Tunes Tuesday: Mayhem

I know I have posted about Imedla May before. But she was on my playlist over and over again today. I just love her rockabilly look and sound. I now proudly own all of her albums and I love each and every one.

It's been a long crazy week already and its only Tuesday! I have been trying to make the time to work-out, work, do some house work and either crochet or get back into my sewing projects everyday. Its bad when you have to schedule fun. lol. Tonight I will be watching some Dr Who while making some new Gamer mugs for fathers day which is coming up super fast.

BeeHive Product Review

NuvaTEK Bee Trap Review
I would like to start this post with a confession. I HATE BEES! Not like normal people hate bees but I am that crazy person who will hurt themselves trying to get away from a bee. NOT A FAN! But I love flowers and pretty things in my yard. So that itself in lies the issue. Wasps, hornets and yellow jackets I do believe are of the devil. I am ok (i guess) with honey bees but come on wasps are just mean things. And they LOVE me. I mean every spring/ summer I end up getting stung at least 10 times. It's not like I'm provoking them or anything, it just happens.
NuvaTEK product review
A few weeks ago I received these bad boys in the mail. The NuvaTEK Wasp Trap, 100% pesticide free. Protects from yellow jackets, wasps and other dangerous insects. Normally I hate wasp traps because they are hideous, giant ugly things that have to hang in plain view. But this cute little yellow plastic beehive looks more like garden decor that a wasp death trap. And the set up process is so simple, fill with a mixture of sugar and water and hang it somewhere outside. I hung mine in the tree in the center of the front yard. The wasps can check in but they dont check out. This adorable little thing claims to protect up to 3000 square feet.
I admit I was skeptical at first but I hung one in the front yard and one in the back and I have not seen a bee in weeks! Amazing. My other favorite part (besides how cute they are) is that they are plastic and reusable.
I can honestly say I give this product a 10 out of 10!

Office Supply Wall Art

mn 006
My mom is the best. A few weeks before her trip here she called and asked if I could use a letter board that her office was throwing out. I had no clue what she was talking about. So she sent me a pic and I immediately had ideas for this lovely thing.

In the area of our home we refer to as the library there has been a giant blank wall. Not entirely sure what to put on it. Rejecting my art pieces and photos knowing that I wanted something slightly industrial looking. I had been on the hunt for a giant letter from a sign that wouldn't cost me a fortune. (still looking). But as soon as she brought in the house on her visit, I knew it was perfect. We decided this would be a great place for our favorite quotes from movies, music or books. I even thought it would be a great place for Logan's weekly spelling words. I can't wait to get this room painted, right now its sooo much brown. But the nice blue with white trim as well as the new curtains will no doubt liven things up.
